AIIMS location issue in Assam

Some of the people comments these days that middle Assam people are narrow minded and self centered regarding AIIMS establishment in Assam. It’s a big question now-a-days, where AIIMS would be established whether in Raha in Nagaon district or Changsari in Kamrup district. As people of Nagaon are demanding AIIMS to be established in Raha, some people comments people of Nagaon as self centered, but the fact is it’s not like that. Nagaon or middle Assam people are neglected most of the times by state government and they do not get their rights, infrastructure is also very poor as this part does not get full attention like others parts of the state.  It’s their rights not only because they are demanding but also Raha, Nagaon is the suitable place for AIIMS in Assam. Expert Team also declared Raha is more suitable place for AIIMS establishment than Changsari. The criterions which need to be fulfilled for an AIIMS establishment are there in Raha other than Changsari. If AIIMS is established in Raha all the people of North East will be benefited as because it is the center place from all parts of North East. Raha is situated equal distance between upper Assam & lower Assam, Arunachal, Nagaland, Manipur also connects through Raha and Barak Valley and the two hill districts people can reach easily by four lanes highway or train via Lumding for that reason all the patients will get benefited. Rail road is also constructed from Shillong to Tetelia near Jagiroad for which Raha is prime location for Meghalaya also.
